In the spirit of a difficult Christmas this year for many families we at iRama along with Liverpool and Everton legends Ian Rush and Peter Reid had the goal of giving back to our communities this season. In hopes of putting smiles on as many families faces as we could, together we gifted over 2000 gift bags to both kids and parents held at the Ian Rush mural outside Anfield Stadium. Plenty of toys for the kids as well as practical gifts for parents, such as light bulbs in light of the current energy crisis in the U.K.
As well as the gift bags we gifted roughly 100 of our learn a trade boxes to Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council to give to young adults in their community. This is a scheme we are introducing to give young adults some entrepreneurial experience. The boxes consist of various types of electronics and instructions on how they can research competitive pricing and sell the products online, keeping their well deserved profits.
This was a heart warming experience for us all, as well as for our two Santa’s Ian Rush and Peter Reid who were handing the gifts out.
We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
